Regular inspection, cleaning, moisture prevention, and avoidance of mechanical damage and chemical corrosion are the core of thermal insulation material maintenance. Taking targeted measures based on different usage environments and material types can effectively extend its service life and ensure thermal insulation performance.

 

1. Regular Inspection and Testing

Visual Inspection: Regularly check the insulation layer for cracks, peeling, bulging, aging discoloration, or sealing failure, especially after extreme weather.

Professional Testing: It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection at least once a year; the interval can be shortened in industrial environments. Infrared thermal imagers can quickly identify weak points in the insulation, and moisture content testing helps to promptly detect potential dampness.

 

2. Cleaning and Daily Maintenance
Use a neutral detergent and a soft cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid using strong acid or alkali cleaning products to prevent corrosion of the color steel plate or coating.

Do not use a high-pressure water gun to directly wash the surface, as this may damage the sealing structure or cause the panels to loosen.

The recommended cleaning frequency is every 3–6 months for exterior walls and every 6–12 months for interior walls. Increase the frequency in heavily polluted areas.

 

3. Moisture and Waterproofing

Moisture is a "hidden killer" of insulation materials, significantly reducing thermal resistance and promoting mold growth.

Ensure joints are well-sealed and install moisture-proof layers (such as waterproof membranes or breathable layers) to prevent moisture penetration.

In high-humidity environments, use dehumidifiers and ventilation equipment to control humidity and keep the insulation materials dry.
